About Cat
The daughter of a multi-instrument musician, Cat discovered her love of music and theatre as a means of communication at an early age.

After beginning her singing career at age six and theatre career at age nine, Cat went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Virginia Commonwealth University. During her time as a VCU Ram, she performed in over ten productions both in the Shafer Street Theatre and on the VCU Mainstage and participated in a senior showcase with industry professionals in Richmond, New York, and Los Angeles. Using her many years of experience in ensemble-based work, Cat strives to bring an artistic eye and sense of play to teamwork and organizational problem-solving. She believes strongly that everyone has creativity within them, and enjoys helping people discover and maximize their unique creative strengths.

During her time as a student of Northwestern University’s Master of Science in Communication Custom Leadership Program, Cat developed a passion and skill for strengths-based leadership, conflict management, power dynamics, and organizational change. She is curious and optimistic about the workplace of the future, and seeks a voice in creating progressive, inclusive workplaces that fully live out their stated values on both an internal and external level.

Cat is also an outspoken advocate for female empowerment, DEI, and creating a world in which everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. In her work at Hines, Cat composed the OneHines Newsletter and served two years as the administrative representative to the OneHines Chicago Advisory Board, a Hines organization geared towards advancing DEI initiatives throughout the firm. She coordinated firmwide events highlighting DEI topics, and facilitated multiple quarterly book clubs that joined teammates from across multiple regions of the firm.

Cat also acted as an Employee Experience Specialist at Hines, during which time she developed the PrimeTime employee experience app, the firm’s first foray into a tech-supported future-of-work environment. She also led focus groups across all levels of the organization to gather qualitative data to support quantitative annual survey data and inform future-of-work decisions on a company-wide scale. Cat’s favorite project during her time at Hines was the development of HiFive, a new internal employee recognition platform.

Cat lives in Chicago with her husband Chris and their golden retriever, Cooper. She enjoys candle making, arts + crafts, playing ukulele, puppy snuggles, and great conversations over dinners with friends.
"And though she be but little, she is fierce."
